Zeitview has secured a 14 CFR §107.41 Wide Area / National Airspace Authorization (NAA), a milestone that expands how we operate drones across controlled airspace in the United States.
This authorization unlocks faster, more flexible deployments in environments where traditional drone operations often face delays and constraints.
What This Means
At a high level, this authorization removes a key bottleneck in drone operations.
With National Airspace Authorization, Zeitview can:
- Operate in controlled airspace (Class B, C, D, and certain Class E) nationwide without submitting individual LAANC or DroneZone requests for each mission
- Deploy more quickly in complex, high-demand environments
- Reduce delays tied to airspace approvals and access
For customers, this translates directly into faster mobilization and more efficient project execution. This authorization is particularly impactful for inspections of vertical structures such as utilities, wind turbines, and commercial properties..
Under the authorization, Zeitview can operate:
- At or below UAS Facility Map altitudes, or
- Above those limits when inspecting vertical structures, provided operations remain within:
- 100 feet of the structure
- 100 feet above the highest point of the structure
In practical terms, this means teams can:
- Access inspection areas more quickly
- Avoid delays tied to higher-altitude approval requests
- Execute missions with greater flexibility in controlled airspace
Why It Matters
As aerial infrastructure inspection demand increases, speed and reliability of deployment become critical. This authorization allows Zeitview to:
- Accelerate project timelines by reducing airspace approval delays
- Increase operational efficiency in complex environments
- Improve responsiveness for time-sensitive inspections
It also supports more consistent operations across large portfolios, where delays at a single site can impact broader programs.
National Airspace Authorization is not automatic, it is granted by the FAA based on demonstrated operational capability and compliance. This authorization reflects Zeitview’s track record of safe, compliant operations. Our ability to operate at scale across complex airspace environments is a differentiating factor cited by leading energy and infrastructure companies who choose Zeitview.
With this authorization, Zeitview is continuing our commitment to safety-first execution, regulatory discipline, and ease and scalability for our customers.
